getting away...

its been a busy summmer. had my first father's day as a father of 2...




our extended family has had 3 weddings...(christi, piper, and charlie got to go to 2, i made it to one)

mix in with that one week of vacation bible school, and a lot of other "goings on" at church, we were ready for a break... so we took one this past week.

christi and my sister stephanie took charlie and his cousins cameron and alex to the memphis zoo...

fun was had by all..

these three (and their moms!) were plenty tuckered out by the end of the day...

while those boys were having fun, 2 more boys headed up to st. louis for some fun of their own...

dad and i made it up to catch a ballgame - cardinals vs. dodgers...

which included an hr. long rain delay then scattered showers throughout the game...

but it was a good trip, with a 10 - 0 st. louis victory (and a cubs loss the same day!) we made it home close to 4 a.m. there is no photo of the two of us passed out in the car... but trust me.. we were tired.

there were more shananigans during the week, but we forgot our camera so all we have is what we got w/ our phones. the break was nice but we are glad to be home. bring on august!
