christi and i gained a nephew on april 12th. alex jonathan king was born and charlie became a big cousin!

we were glad to see several friends from martin and memphis while we were in west tennessee.. hopefully we'll be back sooner than later.

"the laugh"

you have heard about the "billy goat/horse whiney/gremlin" laugh that charlie has been doing. sometimes he gets on a roll and does it very loudly and holds it out for a long time-but he always stops when a camera comes out.

here is a smaller scale version of the laugh when he was looking at pictures of himself with his grandpa harry.

catch up time...

i finally got a lot of pictures from the last 6 weeks or so. these are from the beginning of march up through today.

our boy is over 10 months old now.. we especially enjoy how his blonde hair curls around the sides and back! he is more and more mobile... he has taken a couple of steps on at least 3 different occasions.. so we are waiting (dreading?) the day when he starts walking...

in the next few days i will put up one of the only "on demand" performances of the billy goat/horse whiney/gremlin laugh.

9 month pictures..

here's our boy... growing up fast.. he turned 9 months old on monday.

as his tennessee grandparents heard this past weekend, (see last post) he has been treating all of us in kentucky to some crazy laugh that is a mix between a horse, a billy goat, and a gremlin. ill try ot get it on video an dput it on here soon (and send it to funniest home videos.. maybe we can pay for his college and our student loans!)

our little man is having a rough time these days.

starting on christmas eve he started getting signs of a cold and hasn't been the same since. today, a trip to the doctor - his third in about a month - revealed that he has an ear infection in both ears and r.s.v. (respiratory syncytial virus )

ever the trooper and sweet baby, after vomiting last night, he raised his tired little head and opened his red puffy eyes to give his momma a big grin when she came in the room to clean up daddy and the floor.

your prayers for a speedy recovery and that he would sleep through the night for the first time in 2 weeks would be appreciated.
